Sunday, 1st: PRAYER ALERT from Bible Studies by Mail, Inc.: B.S.B.M.’s Advisory Board is asking the LORD to provide new leaders who are a bilingual couple with ministry experience and their own financial support base. They would work with current leaders, Darryl and Joan Evans, and then eventually become missionaries with or seconded to Source of Light Ministries International. Praise God – “Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1)! Pray B.S.B.M. hears of or from a missionary couple seeking mission work in North America.
Monday, 2nd: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Nancy T… (age 41) wrote: “I learned who Jesus was and what He did for me and for all of us. He is the way, the truth and the life! God is still talking to me and not giving up on me. He wants me to put Him first and to renounce the idols in my life. Yes, I remember accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior when I was fifteen years old.” Praise God – “Turn my heart to Your testimonies and not to covetous gain.” (Psalm 119:36)! Pray Nancy studies every lesson she receives, shares the gospel with whoever and finds a Bible-teaching church.
Tuesday, 3rd: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On August 22, at 2:00 AM, Lisa M… enrolled her 12-year-old daughter Eva M… and emailed: “I hope my daughter can learn more about God and His teachings.” (Eva’s first study was mailed on 8/28/24.) Praise God – “I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure.” (Psalm 119:162)! Pray Eva studies the lessons, shares the teaching with her mom, returns her tests to us & asks for studies for her mom too.
Wednesday, 4th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? Debbie R… (age 55) shared: “The secret to a happy, fruitful Christian life is to love the Lord Jesus with all my heart. Jesus has the right to be my Lord because He bought me with His own blood. Please pray for my husband as he is in hospice and not feeling well at this time. Please keep me and my family in your prayers as things are hard right now!” Praise God – “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,” (2 Cor. 1:3)! Pray Debbie and her family find hope, peace and consolation in Christ.
Thursday, 5th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On August 25, at 8:56 AM, new student hopeful Debbie S… emailed: “I want to study, learn and understand God’s word more, and draw closer to God too.” (Debbie’s first study was mailed on 8/28/24.) Praise God – “Consider what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all things.” (2 Timothy 2:7)! Pray Debbie studies diligently with her Bible in hand; pray she understands and intentionally obeys God.
Friday, 6th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Angela M… (age 40) wrote: “I learned that Christ wants to save me and repenting is necessary so I can be saved and live eternally in Heaven. Yes, August 18, 2024.” (This first study was mailed to her on August 8, 2024.) Praise God – “The time is fulfilled,” He said, “and the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe in the gospel!” (Mark 1:15)! Pray Angela continues studying, finds a Bible-teaching church & shares her faith.
Saturday, 7th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? Patrice L… shared: “I am not justified by church membership, baptism or communion but by God’s grace. I believe Jesus Christ is the true living Son of God. Christ is always my righteousness, and I am made perfect in Him.” Praise God – “God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Cor. 5:21)! Pray Patrice finds a good church to attend in her new city.
