Sunday, 7th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On June 28, at 5:50 PM, new student hopeful Reggie D… emailed: “How to understand God through the Bible, to become a better person, to have a personal relationship with God, to trust God completely and be pleasing to God.” (1st study mailed on 7/2/24.) Praise God – “The Law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is trustworthy, making wise the simple.” (Psalm 19:7)! Pray Reggie studies, memorizes verses and surrenders all to God.
Monday, 8th: Penned on June 27, 2024, by Randy Dixon: “I would like to take the Bible studies by mail courses. I heard about these courses through another inmate here at C… Correctional Institution. He shared how they helped him get to know God better and to live better.” (1st study mailed on 7/3/24.) Praise God – “My mouth will impart wisdom, and the meditation of my heart will bring understanding.” (Psalm 49:3)! Pray Randy studies alone and with others; pray he shares the gospel without fear.
Tuesday, 9th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On June 28, at 7:56 PM, new student hopeful JoAnna L… emailed for herself and her 3-year-old daughter Ellie: “I hope to grow closer to God and live the way He intended for me. I hope my daughter will know who He is when it’s time for her to know right from wrong and I hope she will be saved.” (Their 1st studies were mailed on 7/3/24.) Praise God – “Teach me Your way, O LORD, that I may walk in Your truth. Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name.” (Psalm 86:11)! Pray JoAnna & Ellie study and find a Bible-teaching church.
Wednesday, 10th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Inmate Jason P… (age 45) wrote: “That God loved us so much He sent His Son to pay the penalty for our sins. That following God is not going to be easy but I’ll gladly follow Him. Yes. April 13, 2024.” (This 1st study was mailed to Jason on 4/10/24.) Praise God – “In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels over one sinner who repents.” (Luke 15:10)! Pray Jason keeps studying, finds an inmate to fellowship with and shares his faith.
Thursday, 11th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On June 30, at 4:20 PM, new student hopeful Kyli M… emailed: “I hope to learn how not to feel shame for past things that I have done. But also, how to be able to create a relationship with God.” (1st study mailed on 7/3/24.) Praise God – “Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.” (Psalm 51:7)! Pray Kyli reads her first study, hears the gospel call, repents of her sin and trusts in Christ alone.
Friday, 12th: It’s a blessing to partner together to evangelize, mentor and help the lost and wayward. On May 13, 2024, John C… serving with another Gospel ministry found BSBM’s website to enroll Gary D… He wrote this in the comment box: “I am signing up for Gary.” Last week Gary completed his 3rd study booklet. He writes about what he is learning while also expressing his need for groceries. (In person help is on the way!) Praise God – “The LORD does not let the righteous go hungry, but He denies the craving of the wicked.” (Proverbs 10:3)! Pray Gary accepts the help and counsel offered by a local church; pray he attends it too.
Saturday, 13th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On June 30, at 4:40 PM, new student hopeful Anne M… emailed: “I hope to understand the Bible more. I suffered a bad brain injury and I’m having a real hard time now.” (1st study mailed on 7/3/24.) Praise God – “May my cry come before You, O LORD; give me understanding according to Your word.” (Psalm 119:169)! Pray Anne takes all the time needed to read her studies and her Bible, and to pray about her life.
