Sunday, 2nd: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? Inmate Tiffani H… (age 28) wrote: “I liked the simplicity of the lesson. Knowing that God is so loving, and He loves me exactly where I am, and for who I am.” Praise God – “Your loving devotion, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the clouds.” (Psalm 36:5)! Pray Tiffani shares her study booklets with cellmates and encourages them to sign up for studies.

Monday, 3rd: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? Inmate Michael R… (age 33) wrote: “How Joseph forgave his brothers. I thank God for this Bible lesson. I enjoyed learning about how the devil tempted Jesus three times, and Jesus always refused. Thank you so much for your wonderful lessons. They help me so much and I really enjoy them. I will be released in February 2025, and I hope to stay in contact with you. Through you and the grace of God, I have found my purpose in life, to serve God and stay sober.” (He is a 6-month-old in Christ.) Praise God – “As for you, what you intended against me for evil, God intended for good, in order to accomplish a day like this—to preserve the lives of many people.” (Gen. 50:20)! Pray Michael finds a church.

Tuesday, 4th: Letter postdated 01/27/2025: “Good day! I am looking to further my growth, understanding and personal development through Christ. Thank you for any and all assistance in this matter. Respectively yours, Jacob K…” Praise God – “Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4)! Pray Jacob receives and studies his first lessons, returns the worksheets to BSBM & shares Christ’s love.

Wednesday, 5th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? Clarice S… (age 49) wrote: “God loves me with unconditional love. He sees me in Christ and forgives me. Christ is living in me, so I can do all things through Christ because He strengthens me.” Praise God – “It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption.” (1 Cor. 1:30)! Pray Clarice shares Christ with coworkers.

Thursday, 6th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On January 2 at 4:18 PM, new student hopeful Mary W… emailed: “I am starting a Bible study for the residents in the complex where I live. It is a community of the elderly and disabled. I am new at this and I am looking for things to help our group grow in the Lord. If you can help in any way I would appreciate it.” Praise God – “Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!” (Psalm 133:1)! Pray Mary does her study, shares its teaching, returns her worksheets and gives us the names of others.

Friday, 7th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? Vicky R… (age 71) wrote: “When we have trials and troubles in this life, it is to remind us that all will change to beauty, love, health, peace and the happiness we will experience when we are caught up in the air with our Lord and Savior. We need to keep our communion with Jesus every day and prepare for His coming.” Praise God – “For our light and momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory that is far beyond comparison.” (2 Cor. 4:17)! Pray Vicky shines brightly and boldly for Jesus in her neighborhood.

Saturday, 8th: PRAYER REQUEST from Bible Studies by Mail, Inc.: B.S.B.M.’s Advisory Board is asking the LORD to provide new leaders who are a bilingual couple, with ministry experience, who have or are willing to raise their personal financial support. They would work with current missionary leaders, Darryl and Joan Evans, and then eventually become missionaries with or seconded to Source of Light Ministries International. Praise God – “Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1)! Pray B.S.B.M. hears of or from a missionary couple seeking mission work in North America.

Sunday, 26th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Inmate David S… (age 35) wrote: “I learned who Jesus Christ is and how to be saved. Yes. January 5, 2025” (His 1st study was sent on 1/2/25.) Praise God – “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)! Pray David shares his faith with inmates and encourages them to sign up for studies too.

Monday, 27th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? Richard C… (age 65) wrote: “That Jesus Christ is God in the flesh and by accepting Him as my Lord and Savior, I’ll make it into Heaven. Jesus is the only way we are saved.” Praise God – “But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12)! Pray Richard starts a home Bible study with friends using his lessons.

Tuesday, 28th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On January 7 at 12:49 AM, new student hopeful Steven K… emailed: “I want to be able to read the Bible and become more intelligent about its contents. I went to Catholic Elementary school and they used the Catechism as the tool.” (His 1st study was mailed on January 21, 2025.) Praise God – “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you.” (John 14:26)! Pray Steven is born again.

Wednesday, 29th: Letter posted on 1-13-25 from inmate Fernando L…: “I received my test pages back for lessons 3 – 6, but the mailroom didn’t give me my next study booklets. Could you resend my new studies with a prepaid envelope?” (Resent on 1-21-25.) Praise God – “Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.” (1 Peter 3:9)! Pray Fernando shines brightly for Jesus in jail.

Thursday, 30th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On January 11 at 6:56 PM, new student hopeful Francisco H… emailed: “I want to be better prepared to help others start or grow in a relationship with God.” (1st study mailed on January 22, 2025.) Praise God – “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.” (Ephesians 2:10)! Pray Francisco studies and shares the gospel boldly.

Friday, 31st: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Inmate Amber L… (age 32) wrote: “God sent His Son Jesus to die upon the cross so we could be saved from our sins. God wants a relationship with us, and it’s not because we deserve it. Yes, when I was eight, I believed in Jesus. However, I just recently got into having a real relationship with Him.” (Her 1st study was mailed on 12/27/24.) Praise God – “For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good purpose.” (Philippians 2:13)! Pray Amber keeps studying, starts a group study in her pod and helps inmates sign up for studies too.

Sunday, 19th: Letter dated 1/7/25: “My name is Phyllis P… I am writing to see if I can get your Bible lessons to do again. I am 65, and I do speech in my church. I would like to study your Bible lessons again and use them. I would like to know if you send people Holy oil, and if you do, can you send me some? Someone sent me some, but I don’t remember who it was.” (Since 2012, she has completed just 6 lessons. Restarted on 01/13/2025.) Praise God – “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father—He will testify about Me.” (John 15:26)! Pray Phyllis surrenders ALL to God.

Monday, 20th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On January 3 at 12:19 AM, new student hopeful Lokelani E… emailed: “I hope to learn all about Jesus, His life on earth, His teachings and how to apply it all to our lives and be more knowledgeable to help family and maybe others too, so they learn more about Him and know all that is required to get to heaven.” (First studies mailed to her and her four grandchildren on 1/15/25.) Praise God – “Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged; parents are the pride of their children.” (Proverbs 17:6)! Pray Lokelani studies her lessons, and helps her grandchildren and children do so too.

Tuesday, 21st: Letter dated 1-2-2025 from Spanish speaking student Ricardo B…: “[Favor dejarme saber] Please let me know why you are no longer sending me Bible courses. I sent you my test pages in November. I want to know what mistake I made. I bother you because I am hungry to learn more.” (B.S.B.M. was moving office, when his test pages arrived, so that was why he waited longer than usual for his next studies. He is 84.) Praise God – “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,” (1 Peter 2:2)! Pray Ricardo memorizes verses, shares them with cellmates and shares his testimony too.

Wednesday, 22nd: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On January 3 at 1:37 PM, new student hopeful Danielle M… emailed: “As a beginner, I hope to learn his ways, walk in his light and path, and find the truth.” (First studies mailed to her on 1/15/25.) Praise God – “For You, O LORD, are my lamp; the LORD lights up my darkness.” (2 Samuel 22:29)! Pray Danielle does her first study, believes in Jesus, repents of her sin and acknowledges Christ as her Savior.

Thursday, 23rd: Lisa C… requested Bible studies for inmate Ray C…, on December 15, 2015. His first study was mailed then. Again, on January 6, 2025, Lisa emailed and asked that studies be sent to Ray. BSBM emailed Lisa: “We mailed studies to Ray on December 15, 2015, but we never heard back from him. Lisa, are you sure he wants to study now?” Lisa replied: “I am sorry he didn’t get back to you. I just talked with Ray and he said he never received the study, and would really like to do them. I know his prison is notorious for losing mail. I’m assuming that is likely what happened in this case.” (Ray’s first study booklet was mailed again on 1/16/25.) Praise God – “Abundant peace belongs to those who love Your law; nothing can make them stumble.” (Psalm 119:165)! Pray Ray gets his study this time; pray the warden sees how Bible studies can benefit his prison.

Friday, 24th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On January 5 at 11:13 AM, new student hopeful Colt C… emailed: “I hope to learn as much as I can about the Bible, Jesus and life so that I can spread the Gospel.” (First studies mailed to him on 1/16/25.) Praise God – “Whoever heeds instruction will find success, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD.” (Proverbs 16:20)! Pray Colt studies his lessons and Bible, obeys the Spirit’s nudging and shares the word boldly.

Sunday, 12th: B.S.B.M.’s office move was a success. The office is located in La Mission Plaza at 225 E. Idaho Ave, Suite 11, Las Cruces, NM 88005. The mailbox is still … B.S.B.M. PO Box 2077, Las Cruces, NM 88004. Praise God – “Teach me Your way, O LORD, that I may walk in Your truth. Give me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name.” (Psa. 86:11)! Pray we handle each student’s lessons as if they were present in person.

Monday, 13th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On December 25, at 8:47 PM, new student hopeful Reba S… emailed: “What God wants me to do for Him. I am 67 years old and I am tired of not doing anything to help better His Kingdom here on earth.” (First study mailed on January 8, 2025.) Praise God – “Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19)! Pray Reba studies the first 2 lessons, prays for her neighbors and shares her gospel studies with them.

Tuesday, 14th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On December 26, at 7:24 PM, new student hopeful Amber O… emailed: “I hope to learn everything I can. I’m in a rehab center and I am trying to get stronger in my faith so I am able to stay strong when I get out.” (First study mailed on January 8, 2025.) Praise God – “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be encumbered once more by a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1)! Pray Amber finds a local church, employment and a mentor.

Wednesday, 15th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? Inmate Kenneth K… (age 32) wrote: “God does not overlook our sins because He sees the blood of His Son which was shed for us and He forgives us. We show we love Jesus by our obedience to Him.” Praise God – “For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8:2)! Pray Kenneth shares God’s message of truth with cellmates and gets them studying also.

Thursday, 16th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On December 27, at 9:51 AM, new student hopeful Rose N… emailed: “I hope to know God’s will for me and to live my life for Him.” (First study mailed on January 9, 2025.) Praise God – “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)! Pray Rose studies diligently, gets involved in a local church and shares the gospel message with whoever, as He leads her.

Friday, 17th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? Inmate Enrique H… (age 32) wrote: “This study taught me about the love God and Jesus have for us. Sin is in and all around us, and we need Jesus to be saved.” Praise God – “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.” (Ephesians 2:13)! Pray Enrique studies diligently and intentionally shares Christ in jail.
