March 30 – April 5
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful,”Colossians 4:2
Sunday, 30th: Inmate Josh B… started to study on March 16, 2022. After completing his first study booklet, he shared that he was born again on March 25, 2022, while studying. Now, on March 20, 2025, he wrote: “This study has been a big eye opener in my spiritual walk. I have learned a lot. I have been doing these studies since 2022, and I am getting stronger in the Word. I like to take what I learn and share it with my brothers that are hungry for the Word. It’s a blessing to have you guys and the Bible studies. It keeps me busy and helps my time in jail go by fast. That’s a big perk. Thank You Jesus!” Praise God – “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10)! Pray Josh studies God’s word daily & keeps boasting of Christ & the gospel.
Monday, 31st: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On March 25 at 7:20 PM, hopeful new student Chris F… emailed: “I hope to learn how to deal with my depression and the voices in my head.” (First Bible study booklet sent on 3/27/25 with extra helpful reading.) Praise God – “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” (Philippians 4:6)! Pray Chris surrenders all to Christ’s rule & reign in his mind.
Tuesday, 1st: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Sue K… wrote: “God sent Jesus down from Heaven as a human so we could understand. He lived for us and died on the cross for our sins. No matter what I’ve done in my life, through Jesus Christ I can have a much better life. Yes, I was saved in my twenties, but I walked away from God 15 years ago when my husband left me for another woman. He was an associate pastor. The church family turned their back on me. Why I felt it was God’s fault, I don’t know. Now at 67, I know the only thing I lost was God. I am trying hard to make Heaven my home. Pray I find a church.” Praise God – “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, persistent in prayer.” (Romans 12:12)! Pray Sue rereads her first two lessons & takes to heart key verses that explain God’s mercy, grace & unconditional love.
Wednesday, 2nd: Trina W… (age 55) recently shared: “I’m sorry I forgot to finish lesson 12. It was by accident that I sent it back to you unfinished. I lost my father on January 16, 2025. Due to health issues, my mother who has dementia was just placed in hospice. Please keep us in your prayers.” Praise God – “The LORD is near to all who call on Him, to all who call out to Him in truth.” (Psalm 145:18)! Pray Trina finds hope, strength and joy in the Lord & His word as she visits and loves her mom.
Thursday, 3rd: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Inmate Joseph R… wrote: “That even at the age of 34, I can still be saved and start my life of faith in God. To keep my faith in God and not beat myself down for my sins. Yes, today actually, March 19, 2025.” Praise God – “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)! Pray Joseph rereads the gospel message in his first two lessons & memorizes key Bible verses.
Friday, 4th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On March 22 at 1:10 PM, hopeful new student Deana M… emailed: “I hope to gain an understanding of God’s purpose for my life, and to gain knowledge on how to bring others to God.” (First study sent on 3/26/25) Praise God – “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making His appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20)! Pray Deana grows strong in her faith.
