Sunday, 22nd: PRAYER ALERT from Bible Studies by Mail, Inc.: B.S.B.M.’s Advisory Board is asking the LORD to provide new leaders who are a bilingual couple with ministry experience and their own financial support base. They would work with current leaders, Darryl and Joan Evans, and then eventually become missionaries with or seconded to Source of Light Ministries International. Praise God – “Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1)! Pray B.S.B.M. hears of or from a missionary couple seeking mission work in North America.
Monday, 23rd: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On September 17, at 8:24 AM, new student hopeful Marisela T… emailed: “I am a mother of three and I homeschool my children, Jazzlyn… (age 10), Jazzariah… (age 7) and Jason… (age 5). I would like to involve the Lord in our studies. I would really appreciate it. Thank you.” (1st Bible study booklets sent to all four of them on 9/19/24.) Praise God – “Order my steps in Your word; let no sin rule over me.” (Psalm 119:133)! Pray Marisela, Jazzlyn, Jazzariah & Jason study their booklets, talk about the teaching, pray together & return their test pages.
Tuesday, 24th: “Dear Bible Studies by Mail, I want to thank you for your wonderful lessons about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I have been doing your lessons for a couple months now. I am currently incarcerated in the ______ Department of Corrections and your studies help me greatly. I speak with my wife and son every day and often I talk about your Bible correspondence studies. My wife, Kinsey K…, is very interested in them. Could you please start her studying where I started? Her address is …. God bless, Kenneth K…” Praise God – “Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed, for the LORD is holding his hand.” (Psalm 37:24)! Pray Kenneth holds on to the Lord’s Hand through faith; pray Kinsey does her study and trusts in God.
Wednesday, 25th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On September 17, at 1:04 AM, new student hopeful Sheila B… emailed: “I need to continue to study the word of God because I have been approached often and asked about my life with the Lord. I’ve had a food pantry and soup kitchen for 27 years and I need to refresh myself with the Lord’s word!” (1st Bible study booklet sent on 9/19/24.) Praise God – “Mary has chosen the good portion, and it will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:42b)! Pray Sheila starts each day in God’s word, reading, studying and listening, as if she was at Jesus’ feet.
Thursday, 26th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Melissa H… (age 43) wrote: “Jesus loves us no matter what or how many sins we’ve committed as long as we repent and believe He is the only way to heaven. Yes. September 23, 2016.” Praise God – “Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God.” (1 John 3:1a)! Pray Melissa keeps studying the lessons sent; pray she invites others to study with her.
Friday, 27th: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On September 18, at 3:05 PM, new student hopeful Mike G… emailed: “I hope to learn more about the Bible … more about God’s word. I’m a stage 4 cancer survivor and if it was not for Him, I would not be here today.” (1st Bible study booklet sent on 9/19/24.) Praise God – “Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.” (John 17:3)! Pray Mike invites other cancer patients he knows to sign up for studies too.
Saturday, 28th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Albert M… (age 47) wrote: “That I am not saved by what I can do for God, but by what God has done for me through His Son, Jesus Christ. Yes. I don’t remember the date.” Praise God – “God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Cor. 5:21)! Pray Albert studies diligently and shares Christ intentionally.
