Sunday, 18th: Posted on August 7, 2024: “Thank you for taking the time to help me and my children grow and learn about God. I hope my husband will do his lessons as well, but he works so much he hasn’t had time. Me and the kids take time each day to work on them. I mail them once we are all done. Sorry the lessons are late this time. I didn’t get stamps till late. Thank you so much, Kayla A…” (She is 32; their kids are ages 3 to 13.) Praise God – “He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name.” (Psalm 23:3)! Pray Kayla and family find a Bible-teaching church; pray Joseph takes time to study.
Monday, 19th: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? Inmate Kenneth K… (age 31) shared: “That God sent His Son to be the perfect, wrath-absorbing sacrifice for all our sins – past, present, and future! What a great lesson! I want to say thank you for these Bible studies. I heard my dad passed away on 7-2-2024. Knowing he is in Heaven in his heavenly body with Jesus helps me!” Praise God – “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us.” (Galatians 3:13a)! Pray Kenneth shares his studies with fellow inmates and helps the interested ones to sign up for studies.
Tuesday, 20th: From inmate student Edgar S… on 8/14/2024: “REQUEST FOR PRAYERS!!! In August 2024, they are going to execute a prisoner here at this facility. Yes, right here in _____, ___. PLEASE PRAY that the Governor commutes his execution and he gets life in prison instead. I do not know the prisoner and I don’t know what he has done or hasn’t done.” (Newspaper: “convicted in the killings of four people in 1997.”) Praise God – “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man his blood will be shed; for in His own image God has made mankind.” (Genesis 9:6)! Pray as the Lord leads you to pray for this man who faces execution.
Wednesday, 21st: WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU HAVE LEARNED IN THIS STUDY? HAVE YOU RECEIVED CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR? IF SO, WHEN? Kathleen M… (age 34) wrote: “That Jesus told us the Christian way of life would not be easy. But it is 100% worth it. Yes. July 31, 2024.” (This first study was mailed to her on July 25, 2024.) Praise God – “In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!” (John 16:33b)! Pray Kathleen keeps studying and returning her tests; pray she finds a Bible-teaching church.
Thursday, 22nd: HAVE THESE STUDIES ABOUT THE LORD JESUS CHRIST BEEN A BLESSING TO YOU? Spanish speaking inmate Segundo L… shared: “[Sí, han sido de mucha bendición.] Yes, they have been a great blessing. When I studied them, I remembered the pastor’s sermons and what my parents told me. They told me about Jesus since I was a child and sometimes, I thought maybe it was just a fairy tale. But now God has used this Bible study ministry to teach me the way, the truth and the life. I am very grateful and blessed to be able to continue learning more every day.” Praise God – “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”” (John 14:6)! Pray Segundo shares the gospel with his family, fellow inmates and guards.
Friday, 23rd: WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO LEARN FROM GOD THROUGH THE STUDY OF HIS WORD? On August 10, at 2:32 PM, Francis O… emailed to request studies for her son, inmate Christopher V…: “My son is reading the Bible that the prison has and he doesn’t understand it. I am trying to get Bible studies for him.” (First studies were sent on August 12th.) Praise God – “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things” (John 14:26a)! Pray Christopher studies his Bible with his lessons and surrenders all to Christ.
Saturday, 24th: Inmate Gilberto R… has completed all our Spanish Bible courses. He has requested studies for 17 fellow inmates. He recently wrote: “A colleague I know told me I can’t preach about Cristo Jesús to Muslims. He told me that all the people of all the world religions have their own gods and that by adoring their gods and believing in them they will be saved. I need information about the world religions and false cults.” Praise God – “Is not My word like fire,” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer that smashes a rock?” (Jeremiah 23:29)! Pray Gilberto reads the articles we sent and uses God’s word wisely to crush Satan’s lies.
